What’s proposed
to carry out the following development: the extension of an amenity trail in the form of a path with permeable loose gravel finish between Tuamgraney and Bealkelly along the southern verge of the R463 from the existing hardcore path along the northern verge of the R463 at Bealkelly. This development will traverse the townlands of Tomgraney, Ballymalone, Raheen, Bealkelly (Eyre) and BealKelly (Purdon) The proposed development will include a) Clearing of vegetation. b) Limb and trim trees. c) Set back stone and block walls and fencing as required replacing like for like. d) Remove topsoil and dispose of. e) Lay hardcore base with membrane as required. f) Lay garden edging as required. g) Install drainage and protect roadside drainage. h) Provide new signage and information boards. In accordance with the habitats Directive, Appropriate Assessment Screening has been carried out on the project. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening determination has been made and concludes that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development
