What’s proposed

No 10/6283) at this site of approximately 2.1453 ha. located at former Ibis Hotel, Dunkettle, Glanmire, Co. Cork. The proposed development consists of: (1) The permanent continuation of use as a school (14 no classrooms and associated school and staff facilities in existing building ranging in height of 1-3 no. storeys) as previously granted temporary permission. (2) The provision of 2 no. additional classrooms (to total 16 no. classrooms overall) and associated facilities within the existing building, at first and second floor, in areas which were identified for further expansion as part of the temporary permission granted. These internal works will not increase the existing gross floor area, which will remain 3,825sq m. (3) Reconfiguration of existing surface car park area to facilitate a total of 61 no. car parking spaces (2 no. disabled, 19 no. dedicated staff and 40 no. additional), 2 no. designated bus drop off and collection areas, 1 no. vehicular set down areas. (4) Primary vehicular and pedestrian access to the development will be maintained via the existing entrance, which is to be upgraded to enhance traffic safety. (5) Improved hard and soft landscaping and all other ancillary and associated site development works above and below ground level and (6) All existing site services will remain unchanged
