WEB5153/25 is a planning application for retention permission at 28 Elder Heath Hill, Kiltipper Road, Dublin 24, D24V0YD, received by Dublin City Council on 16 Sept 2025 and first seen by Planning Register on 11 Sept 2026. The application describes: NOTE OUTSIDE DCC JURISDICTION: The log cabin at the back garden , size (m) 5.9 x 3.3 = 19.47 sq. mt. , side wall height 2200 mm. ridge heigth 2200 mm , wall log 45 mm Was built in July 2024. I use it as my art studio and also for art classes for children , from the age 4 to 11. I am teaching myself and the most children in the groups are 10. The structure of the cabin is in accordance with the planning rules however I have been told by Paul Byrne in the planning department that I need to apply for the retention due to fact that cabin is used for the business purposes. The classes run on Monday 4 to 7 pm, Tuesday 4 to 5 pm, Wednesday 5 to 6 pm, Thursday 4 to 7 pm , and every second Sunday (adults) I have a public liability insurance, fire regulation and all necessary regulations and safety measure on place You are welcome to come and check the site . Please let me know what should be done so I can keep maintaining the classes. Thanks. Ekaterina. The council declared the application invalid on 18 Sept 2025. The five-week observation window closed on 21 Oct 2025. The site is zoned R2 — existing residential under the Dublin City Council development plan.
