The principal activities associated with the proposed development are;• Change of use of the existing agricultural shed into a waste processing building; • An annual intake of up to 25,000 tonnes of Construction & Demolition (C&D), Green and inert waste; Processing of C&D, Green and inert wastes including: o Crushing and recycling of concrete and bricks into secondary aggregates; o Screening and cleaning of soil & stones for reuse; o Separation of Metals & Woods for reuse or recycling; and o shredding and storage for composting of green waste for reuse and recycling. Part of the operational phase of the proposed project includes the reuse of the processed C&D, green and inert wastes which will be hauled off site by HGV to their destination. The proposed development includes activities that will require a Waste Facility Permit from the Local Authority under the Waste Management (Facility Permit and Registration) Regulations 2007 (as amended).
