What’s proposed

To remove the existing dilapidated structure (see below appendix A) and replace it with an existing building owned by the Department of Education and Youth (see below appendix A). The replacement building is slightly larger in footprint than the original at 138m2 coming in at approx. 58m2 larger and is currently in storage. The proposal will see the 2no. classrooms be used for 1 to 1 classes, it is not anticipated that staffing and student numbers will increase as a result of the increase in floor area. The building would be relocated to the site and adapted as necessary to suit the operational needs of the school in compliance with statutory requirements and DEY supplementary design guidance, FSC and DAC reports would also be submitted to local building control authority. Works to existing building envelope to form 2 no. access and egress points to better aid accessibility to the existing building. existing window opes will be adapted to form new door openings in the existing facade rowan house itself is not a protected structure
