The development to be retained consists of: (1) Modifications to previously permitted Garage (Ref: P17/523) to North of dwelling curtilage including: a) revised position on site; b) revised position of roller shutter doors (2 no.); c) revised window and door configuration; and, d) extension to rear (including additional roller shutter door) measuring 87 sqm. (2) Modification to previously permitted Garage (Ref: P09/685) to centre of dwelling curtilage, namely the provision of a first-floor window to the front elevation. (3) All associated and ancillary site development works including repositioned steel container to front / west of northern Garage. This planning application may be inspected or purchased at a fee, not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the offices of Mayo County Council, Áras an Chontae, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, during its public opening hours. A submission or observation in relation to the application may be made in writing to the Planning Authority on payment of the prescribed fee, €20, within the period of 5 weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the Authority of the application, and such submissions or observations will be considered by the planning Authority in making a decision on the application. Statutory basis. Section 34(1) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) requires a planning authority to consider any submission or observation made to it in accordance with the Regulations. Article 29 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) sets the window: a submission or observation must be received by the authority within five weeks beginning on the date of receipt of the application, and must be accompanied by the prescribed fee of €20. A submission received after the window, or without the fee, is invalid and the authority must return it.
