Within County Meath, the proposed development will take place within the following townlands: JARRETSTOWN, WALTERSTOWN, MOOR OF MEATH, RATHLEEK, GRANGE, BOGGANSTOWN, CAPPAGHCREEN, BROWNSTOWN, SALESTOWN, AFFOLLUS, KILGRAIGUE, HARRISTOWN, PORTERSTOWN, KILCLONE, KIMMINS, BARROCKSTOWN, BALLYMAGILLIN, MULHUSSEY, FERRESTOWN, RODANSTOWN, BATTERSTOWN, DOLANSTOWN, CALGATH, BALFEAGHAN, KILGLIN, FERRANS, CASTLEJORDAN, GORTNAHORNA, KILLASKILLEN, CLONGALL, KNOCKERSALLY OR COLEHILL. The Rinawade - Dunfirth Tee - Kinnegad 110 kV OHL circuit runs through County Meath, County Kildare and County Offaly. It is 54 km in length and travels from Kinnegad 110 kV substation in Killaskillen (County Meath) and traverses southeast where a short loop into Dunfirth 110 kV substation in Dunfirth (County Kildare) exists. The line then continues southeast where it terminates at Rinawade 110kV substation in Rinawade Lower (County Kildare). The OHL has a total of 249no. supporting structures. Within the functional area of Meath County Council, there is 23.16 km of the existing OHL circuit, with 107 no. structures. Within the functional area of Kildare County Council there is 30.66 km, with 140 no. structures, and within the functional area of Offaly County Council there is 0.42 km, with 2 no. structures. Separate planning applications will be lodged with Kildare County Council and Offaly County Council. The proposed development within Co. Meath will comprise: • the replacement (“restringing”) of the existing OHL circuit conductor wires with a new higher capacity conductor between structure numbers 1 - 37, 185 - 214, and 218 - 223; • the replacement of angle mast in-situ at 1no. location, with a new angle mast; • the strengthening of tower foundations at 3no. locations; • the strengthening of towers (i.e., member replacement) at 5no. locations; • the painting of towers at 7no. locations; • shear block remedial works of towers at 1no. locations; • the replacement of polesets at 38no. locations, with similar structures. Kildare. The proposed development consisting of additions and modifications to the previously permitted (KCC Reg. Ref. 19/1054) and partially completed development, which incorporates a new Utility Building. The proposed development also includes other buildings, plant and equipment to be located North of Fab 10 and Fab 24. The proposed development is comprised of the following: (1) A Utility Building sized approximately 561 square metres approximately 10 metres high, housing plant and equipment and also including adjacent yard-based plant and equipment, consisting of a 16-metre-high storage tank approximately 3 metres in diameter, housing for electrical controls and external pipework. Also including a 4-metre-high acoustic screen, additional pipe bridges, all located north of Fab 10. (2) An elevated single-storey extension to the existing electrical building located north-west of Fab 10 sized 60 square metres approximately and 8.5 metres high approximately and a local connecting pipe bridge. (3) A building ancillary to the Fab 10 Reverse Osmosis Deionised Water (RODI) building located north of Fab 10 sized 75 square metres approximately and 7.9 metres high approximately including an Air Handling Unit, approximately 3.1 metre high located on the roof. (4) 2 no. tanks, each sized approximately 20.4 metres high and approximately 4.6 metres in diameter. 1no. located in the yard to the north of Fab 10 and 1no. located in the yard north of Fab 24. (5) The proposed development also includes minor modifications to site works, access road, underground surface water retention features, additional underground utilities, site lighting, pipe bridges, roof mounted equipment and internal roadworks. The application relates to a modification to a development which comprises or is for the purpose of an activity requiring an industrial emissions license under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 (as amended by the Protection of the Environment Act, 2003) is required. This application relates to development consisting of the modifications to an establishment within the meaning of the Major Accidents Directive (i.e. a COMAH / Seveso site).
- Collinstown Leixlip , Blakestown Kellystown , Collinstown Industrial Park Conditionaladditions, alterations and modification to existing/permitted industrial facilities. The proposed development comprises of the following: 1. An extension to plant and equipment associated with FAB 34 located on an existing/permitted concrete slab to the rear of FAB 34. The development also comprises a modification to the proposed Boiler and Chiller Building to facilitate this development reducing its enclosed area from 22,188 square metres to 19,208 square metres. 2. The proposed equipment comprises 9 no. holding and treatment tanks located in a sealed reinforced concrete bund sized 542 square metres approximately together with associated pumps, pipe bridges and equipment. The tanks vary in height from 5 metres to 9 metres approximately. 3. The permitted (ABP Ref. Pl. 09.304672-19 / KCC Reg. Ref. 1991) two storey Boiler and Chiller Building is reduced by 2,980 square metres approximately, including modifications to the existing elevations, relocated escape stairs and miscellaneous layout modifications. The height of the modified facility will match the existing building height at 24.5 metres. 4. The works also include modifications to site works, underground utilities, roof mounted equipment and site lighting and a louvred screen wall approximately 85 metres in length, as an extension to the existing 8.5-metre-high elevational screen located on top of the Boundary wall to the rear of the Boiler and Chiller Building. 5. Erection of 2 no. ground level, illuminated monument signs at the main east and west vehicular entrances to the site from the R148. Both signs are 1.5 metres high and 2.4 metres wide approximately. 6. Illumination (internally) of 1 no. replacement building sign to the south elevation of the IR6 Building. The sign is 1.4 metres high and 3.3 metres wide approximately and is mounted so that the top of the sign is approximately 0.5 metres below for the parapet level of IR6. This application consists of a variation to a previously permitted development for an activity for which a licence under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 )as amended by the Protection of the Environment Act, 2003) is required. The decommissioning and removal of 4 No existing double circuit steel lattice towers and associated electrical conductors to include the removal of the existing towers and associated electrical conductors from site. (3) Double Circuit Towers. The installation of 7 No new double circuit steel lattice towers. Two of these will be replacement towers (Towers T1 & T7). The towers will range in height from approximately 20.75m to approximately 39.75m above ground level and will support six electrical conductors (overhead lines). (4) Site Works.
