South Dublin decides fastest: a median of 49 days from receipt to decision over 1,129 decisions in the last 12 months. Kildare is slowest at 77 days (n=925). The all-council median is 53 days; 26% of decisions went through a further-information request first. Section 34(8) of the 2000 Act sets eight weeks; a further-information request stops that clock.
