AIRTON ROAD EXTENSION - The Proposed New Link Road from Cookstown Industrial Estate. The proposed works will form part of a wider integrated road network which will result in the creation of a new permeable street connecting the Airton Road to the Cookstown Road and further south to Tallaght Town Centre via an approved Part 8 development. Connecting Tallaght Hospital, Technology University Dublin (TUD), a post primary school, an innovation centre, and a residential community. The construction of approximately 328 m. of a two-way single carriageway road connecting Cookstown Industrial Estate Road to Belgard Road. Estate Road with Airton Road Extension, Junction of Airton Road Extension with the entrance into Belgard Retail Park and the Junction of Airton Road Extension and Belgard Road. Junctions – Junction layouts are to be as per the NTA’s standard for cycleways, the layout of the proposed junctions will be updated in line with new NTA standards when the latest layouts come available.
